Food Crisis - What is it?
A food crisis is the lack of availability to good food in certain places in the world. Poorer countries indeed have access to some food such as rice however this doesn’t contain the proper nutrition and essential vitamins
needed to survive. In the 'wealthy countries' we are very food secure and sometimes we take it for granted. However we forget that 1 in 7 people are desperately poor and alot of time lack empathy for these people and therefore not many people do anything to help. Some of the reasons why Africa and other developing nations don’t have access to food is because of the harsh and often arid weather conditions and the fact that there is not enough technology and money to grow crops or support lifestock.
